My favorite card game (and the national card game of Russia, by the way). It's a simple implementation: no "throw-in", two players only (you versus the computer), and the computer doesn't play very intelligently, though it will still beat a raw beginner quite a lot of the time.
This project was never intended as a teaching example; what I wanted was the application itself. I just wanted the computer to be able to play Durak with me! I wrote this in about a week, during spare moments during an Alaska cruise. This seems strong testimony to the power and ease of REALbasic.
